River Rock Advisors is pleased to announce that Consultant Brian McCrea recently completed a year-long process to reach APICS certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM).

APICS certifications are the standard of professional excellence in supply chain and operations management. The APICS CPIM designation demonstrates knowledge and skills in global operations production and inventory activities. The certification process was completed through the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) — the largest non-profit association for supply chain and a global leader in supply chain organizational transformation, innovation and leadership.

The official certification came as a result of a rigorous examination process based on industry standards guided by the APICS Certification Committee.

“This news comes as a result of a year-long journey that involved countless late nights and weekends devoted to studying,” McCrea said. “I’d like to thank everyone who shared their support and kind words of encouragement throughout this process. I’d also like to extend a special shoutout to my wife (Liz Stark McCrea) and my colleagues at River Rock Advisors—I could not have done this without you!”

“We’re exceptionally proud of Brian and the hard work he’s put in to further develop his career and industry knowledge,” said River Rock Advisors Partner Steve Keener. “He’s delivered tremendous work for our firm and we’re excited to see him continue to grow.”

McCrea joined River Rock Advisors in 2018 after graduating from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business in 2017 with a B.S. in Supply Chain Operations Management. In his time with our firm, McCrea has supported clients in a variety of industries through projects with a focus on inventory target setting, inventory stocking strategies, production planning & allocation, item segmentation, SIOP/S&OP processes, KPI dashboard development, value stream mapping, and more.
